What’s here is general information

My videos, this site, my printable guides and my emails share what I’ve learned, in good faith. I’m a homeowner, not a licensed contractor, and none of it is professional advice. Every house is different, so what worked for me may not work for yours. I try to get things right, but I can’t promise anything here is complete, current or free of mistakes, and products, prices and codes change. If you spot a mistake, tell me.

Your safety and your project

If you take on a project, you do it at your own risk and you’re responsible for the result. Shut off the power, water or gas before you start, test before you touch anything, wear the right protection and follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Codes, permits and licensing rules depend on where you live, so check yours first. As far as the law allows, I’m not liable for any injury, damage or loss that comes from using what’s here.
